I’m very happy to announce that Wedding Wire gave me a nice award this year again. Thanks to all my clients for writing nice things about me. It makes it all worth it.

I scored another winning entry in the quarterly WPJA competition. This time with an image from Abel and Jennifer’s wedding. The judges comment reads: This tender moment is very telling of the loving relationship between the bride and her son (assumed) on a day that will change both of their lives forever.
I want to thank Abel and Jennifer for inviting me to document their wedding. It was a great day and I feel very fortunate to have witnessed many amazing moments.

Mark and Mary, or M&M as they are affectionately called among their friends, got married in their neighborhood of Greenpint and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. The ceremony and reception took place at the old abandoned factory turned restaurant, My Moon during a wonderfully warm September day that idly threatened New York with a thunderstorm.
In order to capture the day I decided to make this a two-parter. The next entry will be up in a couple of days.
I know. This one is not pretty. But dental hygiene is very important. I’m glad Mark knows that.
This is a lot more post production than I normally feel comfortable with. I increased the contrast and changed the hues, but I feel that it increases the surreal feeling of the ominous clouds. Luckily the clouds cleared up just in time for the wedding.
More to follow….
Location: Bowery Hotel, The Foundry
A big thank you to Tara and Christine from Exquisite Affairs Productions. Awesome as always.
